Senior Year Checklist

As junior year ends, I now think of my senior year. The pivotal point of the high school years and the one that is desired with anxiousness and anxiety by students.

Making a goal or a list of tasks to accomplish from the summer before senior year to the end of the school year is a great visual to accomplish tasks. This helps as a mental breakdown of what to accomplish by when. Feel free to use this list as a guide!

Below is my list:

Summer (June- August)

Fall (September- November)

  • Apply for scholarships
  • Ask for recommendations
  • Finish and submit college applications as well as essays
  • Take the SAT/ACT for the last time
  • Do final college tours and overnight tours
  • Talk to guidance counselors

Winter (December- February)

  • Apply for scholarships
  • Ace midterms
  • Confirm received applications
  • Await college decisions
  • Talk to guidance counselors

Spring (March-May)

Summer (June- August)

  1. Oh where are you from? I agree! I find that fascinating too! This is just like our different time zones; we’re all on the same Earth doing (overall) the same thing at different times:)

  2. I’m not from the US but I always love whenever someone talks about American school/collage. It’s so different to our schoolsystem. I think it’s funny how we are all educated differently but still people expect kind of the same things from us.
