I’m a fan of the author now! I love the plot and the tensions between Logan and Maddie that escalated as well as the ending.

This is a coming-of-age novel ideal for teens. I got my hands on this book (figuratively, I read this off my iPad) and couldn’t put it down! I love the dorkiness and quirks of Logan.

This book set the motion for the summer and even more so with the overall theme: be true to who you are. What better way to finish junior year with this! There are brief comic book references (don’t worry, the characters bring you up to speed on what’s what).

Maddie is like a ‘realistic’ version’ of Hannah Montana. She has a double life that she hides away, and there are only a few people who know the truth. The novel has all the right lessons and meanings. Maddie doesn’t forget about her true self nor does she continue hiding it. Instead, Madelyne fully embraces everything about herself without caring who thinks what.

Maddie would say, ‘who cares about my popularity plummeting. I want to be straight up with myself and everyone in my life.’

I can’t wait to read Romancing the Nerd which takes things in the point of view of Dan ‘the man’ Garrett! The synopsis has a similar feel to Maddie’s story except Dan is extremely popular and falls for a band musician. I’m excited because the characters are tied in the first book of the Nerd series.

So whether you LARP or have no idea what that is (live-action role-playing if you’re wondering), Wonderful Wendy and Awesome Logan suggest that you read this amazing story!
