As a college student, looking for scholarships and assistance for your education never stops. You can use these resources while in college, high school, or even graduate school! I think about scholarships like extra credit, it never hurts to do it. Below are some resources to apply for scholarships and lessen the amount you need to pay.
State Grants
Many states offer students grants! Every semester, the government gives you money for staying in-state to study whether at a public or private university. The good part about these is that you do not have to renew it! Once you apply, this ‘rolls over’ throughout your college years. You have to meet a specific GPA and course amount.
FASFA
This can not be overstated, the FASFA is essential to renew and apply for EVERY year in order to get grants and federal aid.
University
Check the financial area of your university for additional scholarship opportunities. This can range from attending a specific school, choosing a specific major, or being a first-generation. Apply to endowments if you qualify.
Leadership
At my university, some ‘jobs’ are leadership positions that pay in scholarship tuition per semester. These positions include campus events, residence life, diversity inclusion, etc.
Going Merry
I love this website because it makes applying for scholarships easier. There are even bundles where the platform groups similar scholarships so you only have to apply once. It’s like the Common App for scholarships. You can win $1000 in college money just for signing up! It also creates a spreadsheet so you can track all the scholarships you applied for.
FastWeb
There are several scholarship options on this website. The platform searches for different ones based on your profile! You could earn $500 just for signing up!
College Xpress
Similar to Fastweb, this scholarship site helps you find websites with scholarships based on your profile. They also have blogs about opportunities for college students!
TUN
I love TUN because it not only showcases scholarships in categories, but also includes internship opportunities, tips, and resources.
My pleasure!
Thanks a lot for sharing this with all people you really recognize what you are talking approximately! Bookmarked.
My pleasure! Good luck applying!
Appreciate this post. Will try it out.
