At church, the guest pastor spoke on the importance of keeping our thoughts pure. What we think will result in actions. This is why we should think of the things listed in the photo: is it true, helpful, inspiring, necessary, and kind. Yes, these go along with social media but, it also ties in with your thoughts.

Negativity will envelop your life before you know it. It creeps into your thoughts and soon becomes the emotional aura you give to others. Thoughts like ‘you’re stupid’, ‘______ is better than you’, and ‘you’re not worth anything’ are all lies. Trust me. Don’t believe in this deceit.

When you think of the good, it will shine in your soul and life. People will gravitate towards you to be in the light. No, this doesn’t mean that negative thoughts wouldn’t come into your head. We’re human; it’s inevitable. But, don’t let that take your life and be the focus.

Philippians 4:8 (NIV)

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

The guest pastor said something, so mind opening that I had to share.

“People share and talk about Fifty Shades more than the black and white of the Bible.”

Woah. Imagine that.

It might be hard to believe but, it’s entirely true. I’ve heard and seen more trailers and clips for explicit and R rating movies than faith-based ones! This doesn’t mean that movies not talking about God are bad. But, the overall production is overwhelmingly becoming either the two true Biblical movies among fake ones that are misinterpreting by society or R rated.

There is no in between.

Instead of having a little bubble or demeanor for society, faith, or friends, combine them like fruit loops. Make them intermingle. Do it; I dare you.
