Thanksgiving

Welcome to the holidays! Around this time, we start thinking more of others and the fellowship holidays that are coming close. From thinking about gifts to get and events to plan, there’s so much going on.

I’m already thinking of Christmas gifts to get!

But, we need to take a step back. Thanksgiving is one of the underrated holidays centered around food. However, the community and family aspects makes it high key a memorable holiday.

There’s so much to be thankful for. While listening to my pastor’s sermon earlier this week, he brought up an excellent point. He described how he tried fixing his car in the driveway of his house. After many tries, it still wouldn’t start up. Of course, you’ll be frustrated. Then, he started thinking to himself: at least I have a car that can cause troubles, a house and yard what I see as I try to fix it, and a family inside waiting for me when I’m done.

Wow. In every hardship, there’s something to be grateful for.

I bombed my college test.

This can turn into a gratitude of being in college, having the opportunity and means to attend, seeing friends, and more.

Make a list of what you’re thankful for and stick it somewhere you can see for the rest of the year. You won’t believe how seeing this list can change any mood and how having a thankful mindset can let you see the blessings through any hardship.
